Stuff I Use (Updated 2024)

Yes, this is where I try to make some money back on my website by listing affiliate links. In case you don’t know how this works, allow me to explain. I list the things that I use (and have probably already reviewed at some stage). Instead of you having to hunt around to find where to buy them, I have them listed here already. I do earn a small (and I mean tiny) commission on anything you buy from here…. and that’s it. I do keep this list updated and usually replace outdated items or with newer items I’ve discovered. So if you’re interested in buying the same type of equipment that I use that are also solid performers, this is the place to do so!

The GoPro Hero 12 Water Sports package!

The best package available in my opinion.

Honestly, the Hero 12 is the camera I grab going out the door all the time. I love the HDR aspects which saves so much time when posting to social media quickly with the best image quality possible. For color grading in post, the GPLOG is an excellent choice. This package comes with 2 Enduro batteries, a head strap and a floaty. All of which I use when out and about on the water.

The GoPro Hero 11 (Barebones)

Get the barebones package here!

So why am I recommending the Hero 11? (and why such a sparse package?). Simply put the GoPro Hero 11 is an excellent camera with some great features. However a lot of sellers on Amazon are putting together packages with extra “standard” batteries. Avoid these! You want to use “Enduro” batteries. So it’s best to buy the barebones package (just the camera) and spend your extra cash on some Enduro batteries for the camera.

GoPro Enduro Batteries and Dual Charger!

The only batteries you should be using in your GoPro Hero 9, 10, 11 and 12.

While there are cheaper options out there, you don’t want to put cheap batteries in a good camera. Enduro batteries are specially built for the tough conditions. Improved battery chemistry means better performance in low temps, high temps and better power flow, all of this results in a longer battery life for your camera. Make no mistake, you need these batteries!

The Blue Yeti Microphone

Make everyone sound like a pro!

I quickly discovered the best way to make videos is to make sure you sound like a pro. The best way to sound like a pro is to use a professional microphone. This is an amazing sounding microphone for an excellent price and the new Logitech sound software makes this microphone purchase a no brainer.

The Rode Wireless Go 2

The best wireless mics I’ve ever used!

I’ve used other wireless mics before, but nothing compares to the features and sounds quality that the Rode Wireless Go 2 offers. This is perfect for all sorts of recording scenarios and combined with the mobile and desktop app, this is a little powerhouse of a system for interviews and blogging. There are other mic systems out there, but people still use the Rode Wireless Go 2 for a good reason, they are excellent!

Razer Kiyo Pro Steaming Webcam

My favorite 1080P Webcam.

The only webcam on the market you can use as a self defense weapon. This thing is SOLID! Great in low light and a proper 60FPS Full HD webcam with HDR capabilities! This is what I use to shoot my YouTube blog videos.

The Samsung Pro Plus Micro SD card.

The best, the very very best SD card you can buy for your camera!

If you really want the very best and most reliable SD card for use in your GoPro, this is the brand that I recommend. Solid, reliable and a great performer. This is the card that offers both performance and reliability at a great price. Stop sabotaging yourself and your videos by using cheap knock off cards or fake cards. Buy a professional card for a great price and stop having issues with your camera and videos.
