So as some of you may know, my channel has been growing on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and that’s just fantastic. I really do appreciate everyone who has helped make this channel a success and continues to help it grow. So just before the year ends, I thought I’d share with you the top videos (per view) from the DemonView YouTube channel. Also I thought I’d share a note on what I think SHOULD be the top video that people watch out of this list! So let’s get to it!
#5: GoPro Max Lens Mod!
This video was created for all of those people who had difficulty removing and replacing their Max Lens Mod for the GoPro Hero 9 (which is also compatible with the GoPro Hero 10, GoPro Hero 11 and GoPro Hero 11 mini after a firmware update due to be released in 2023). It seems that a lot of people had extreme difficulty with swapping this lens around and this video was to give those people some help.
#4: How to Manually Update Your GoPro Firmware
GoPro tends to stick with the classics, if you look at how to update your camera at GoPro.com, the instructions haven’t changed. This video was created using a GoPro Hero 8, however the same applies for the GoPro Hero 4 all the way to the GoPro Hero 11. This includes the Fusion and the Max cameras also.
#3: SD card issues and care!
Honestly, this video was longer than it needed to be, but for a very good reason. I didn’t just want to provide a solution that said “Do A, Do B, Do C and that’s it”. I actually wanted to educate the viewer on why cards become corrupt, why you need to properly format your card and how to fix issues. For me, this is a video that everyone needs to pay attention to. This video will solve so many problems with your camera, everything from overheating to lock ups.
#2: GoPro’s Best Product Ever!
I’m glad that people watched this video and paid attention to it as the GoPro USB-C passthru door is still the best thing that GoPro ever created (besides the Hero 10 and Hero 11 cameras). We’ve probably all seen 3rd party USB-C passthru doors for sale before, but this video explains why GoPro’s is far superior, better designed and much better value for money. I hope whoever designed this product got a huge pay raise as it’s fantastic!
#1: GoPro Hero 10 New Firmware ISSUE & Fix! Do NOT update until you watch this video!
Ok, this video was made famous by GoPro themselves! GoPro released an update for the GoPro Hero 10 which lead to some very serious issues, after the firmware update the GoPro Hero 10 got stuck in a boot loop. This video was created the very day of the firmware issue, I contacted everyone I knew at GoPro to get the firmware taken down ASAP. GoPro ended up pulling the update from their website and pinned this video to the top of their support forum as a fix to the issue. So although is my top rated video (and a lot of people still view it), the content is no longer directly relevant as the issue has long been fixed with later firmware updates. However the parts about factory resetting after an update is still something that should be one with all GoPro cameras.
So which video should people be watching?
I reckon that a lot of people will be getting new GoPro’s for Christmas and a lot of people are going to be first time users. That’s going to come with a lot of first time user problems! People are just going to turn their cameras onto the highest resolution, highest frame rates, try to film for hours on end with hypersmooth on high and then wonder why their camera keeps overheating and shutting down. So I think they should honestly be watching this video:
This explains why their GoPro may overheat and what simple settings you can change to prevent overheating. This will ensure everyone has a Merry Christmas experience with their brand new camara!
Anyway, what I’ll be doing is creating a brand new Playlist on my YouTube that covers the topics of “Unboxing and Setup” to “troubleshooting” your GoPro camera. Hopefully that will be the thing that saves Christmas for a lot of Action Camera users this year.
So in the meantime, thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed the article and check back in the New Year when I hopefully get around to redesigning this site and making it more user friendly.
