Best Dashcam Moments
Should you buy a dashcam for your car or vehicle? the answer is yes! In fact, I personally find it hard to believe that people are still driving around out there without a dashcam in their car. Every vehicle I own has a dashcam (and a loud alarm to boot!) and I tend to double up and have a GoPro stuck on the vehicle I’m driving also.
I put together a select few clips of some of the close calls and bad driving I’ve seen on the road here in the PNW. No one wants to be in a crash or a collision but the moment they are, they tend to blame the other driver for the accident (regardless of who’s fault the crash may have been). Without the protection of a dashcam it’s a case of your word against theirs. If they have passengers in their vehicle, every passenger suddenly becomes an eye witness to say YOU are at fault. They also become a potential insurance claimant. Can you afford to be in that type of situation?
Hopefully this video helps you realize why you should have a dashcam installed on your vehicle or at least have a GoPro you can mount quickly if you’re going somewhere.
Personally I use the above Rexing V5 dashcam due to it’s excellent image quality and the fact that it has built in GPS, you can add a rear cam if you want to and you can offload footage wirelessly from the camera using your cellphone. They also have a desktop app you can use directly with files on the SD card that gives you access to the GPS so you can map your drives.
If you click the link about, I will earn a small commission from the sale (providing you buy the product, but then again, have you WATCHED the video? You should buy it now!).
Did you know that you can also use your dashcam footage to make some money on the side? Not only can you feature it on your YouTube channel (like I just did) and monetize your video, you can also sell your footage to your local media outlet if you get something good on camera. It doesn’t even have to be an accident, sometimes just catching funny events that you see on camera is a nice filler piece for your local news station. You can use screen grabs of your trips or export photo and upload to Google Maps (which you can get rewarded for). So grab a camera today and start filming your trips!
Either way, enjoy the movie and remember, stay safe on the roads!
